Queen Anne began as a mission church sponsored by the ALC Department of Home Missions in February of 1918 with the Rev. P. J. Pflueger as pastor. The site for the present church was purchased, and shortly thereafter construction began on a portable chapel. The church was completed and dedicated in August of 1921, and a parsonage was purchased on Crockett Street.
